Most importantly, here is a quick guide to self rekey your lock. Maybe you have misplaced the instructions. 

1. First, with the door opened, put the working key in the lock and turn it clockwise 1/4 turn.

2. Now the lock should be in the locked position.

3. Then your would insert the mini key above it and into the hole.

4. At this point, you remove the large key and insert the new key you want to switch it to.

5. Next, you use the new key to turn to the unlock position.

Voila! there it is. Essentially, you will want to try the old key to see if it still works. If not, great! Then try the new key and check it is operating the lock as it should. Overall, if it didn’t work, start again.
